ALMENTAR for Human Rights is a Palestinian non-profit human rights organization that monitors and documents human rights violations in the State of Palestine, pursues accountability under international law, and represents victims before national and international bodies.
ALMENTAR aims to defend the human rights of the Palestinian people in Palestine by monitoring and documenting human rights violations occurring in the State of Palestine, preparing legal and human rights reports, and working to hold perpetrators of those violations accountable.
Our work is grounded in international human rights law, international humanitarian law, international criminal law, and national legislation. We conduct local and international advocacy in defense of the rights of the Palestinian people.
To be a faithful lens on the truth: monitoring and documenting violations, turning documentation into instruments of accountability and justice, and building the capacities of human rights defenders.
A Palestine where human dignity is protected, perpetrators of violations are held to account, and victims obtain justice and redress.
Our work rests on six integrated pillars, all serving one goal: defending the human rights of the Palestinian people.
Monitoring and documenting human rights violations in the State of Palestine with a rigorous professional methodology that preserves the truth and serves justice.
Producing well-documented legal and human rights reports that expose violations and serve as references for national and international bodies and decision-makers.
Working to hold perpetrators of violations accountable under international human rights law, international humanitarian law, international criminal law, and national legislation.
Advocacy campaigns at home and abroad to defend the rights of the Palestinian people and bring victims' voices to regional and international forums.
Building the capacities of human rights defenders and equipping them with the legal and professional knowledge and tools they need.
Providing legal representation whenever required and representing victims before national and international bodies in pursuit of justice and redress.
